COLD PRESSED NUT, FRUIT & VEGETABLE OILS, FATS AND PLANT BUTTERS Naturally Divine uses only cold pressed oils, fats and waxes so that the oils maintain their maximum beneficial properties. These oils are used for their skin softening and moisturising properties, as well as their healing and rejuvenation properties. We use such oils as apricot kernel, sweet almond, coconut, wheatgerm, jojoba, cocoa butter, shea butter, rosehip seed, sea buckthorn oil, cucumber seed oil, aloe vera gel, kukui nut oil, carrot seed oil & evening primrose. We use these in generous quantities in our products for their naturally occurring valuable fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. We use these particular oils, fats, butters & waxes as they closely resemble the natural oil (sebum) produced by human skin. BEESWAX Naturally Divine uses unprocessed (not bleached with peroxide) beeswax straight from the hive. When applied to the skin's surface it forms a tiny breathable film, rather than a totally occlusive film. Perfect for our Baby Botty Butter! HANDMADE INFUSED HERB OILS Naturally Divine hand makes our very own infused oils, such as calendula; using the best quality dried herbs. We macerate the dried herbs with soya bean oil on a low heat, to bring out the very best from the herbs. Calendula infused oil has been known for it's healing and soothing properties for centuries and is also perfect for our Baby Botty Butter! PURE ESSENTIAL OILS Naturally Divine uses only the best Pure Essential Oils available. Essential oils have been used in our world for centuries and although the word aromatherapy is new, the art and science involved is ancient. Like so many other natural ingredients, aromatherapy oils have been re-discovered, as we begin to realise that nature has provided us with everything we need. Essential oils are reknown for their therapeutic properties. Please note that pure essential oils are quite powerful and must be treated accordingly. FLORAL WATERS Naturally Divine uses Rosewater for it's soothing and cooling properties on the skin. Misting onto the skin before applying moisturising creams, lotions and serums, helps to draw the moisture deep into the skin's layers. We also incorporate it into our Hydrating Facial Care preparations for it's moisturising properties and delicate aroma.
FRUIT WATERS Naturally Divine uses Cucumber fruit water for it's soothing, toning and moisturising qualities. As with floral waters, fruit water, helps to draw moisture from your chosen moisturiser, deep into the skin's layers. It has a deliciously, fresh aroma. VEGETABLE GLYCERINE Naturally Divine uses vegetable glycerine for it's humectant qualities (it draws moisture from the air to the skin when used in the right quantities). Great for rehydrating the skin.
EXTRACTS Any extracts that Naturally Divine uses are extracted by super critical CO2 extraction, not alcohol extraction. This ensures their optimum quality, without the added extras. At present we are using kakadu plum extract, as it is the world's highest known source of Vitamin C and green tea extract for it's potent quantity of polyphenols.
Vitamins We use natural Vitamin E for our preserving agent, as well as for it's high antioxidant value. Vitamin A is also added to our night preparations, to aid in the cell renewal process. We obtain Vitamin C, another super antioxidant for the skin, through our kakadu plum extract.
